We decided after our trip home last year that economy just wasn’t fun so we searched for a good Business class deal and found one with Qatar.

I couldn’t contain my excitement!! We had our own area with a bed, a huge TV, toiletries and pjs! Steve had fun playing around with the bed. Unfortunately the blog doesn’t take videos.

There was also a menu we could choose from for dinner and breakfast which you could have when you wanted to eat.

For dinner we had a mezze plate with cute little Lebanese breads.

As I said I couldn’t contain my excitement. I don’t think we can go back.
There was also a lounge at the back where we went and had some bubbly.

We met a couple of guys there from Sunshine. It turns out that they know my girlfriend’s kids! It’s a small world!!
We went back to our seats got comfy and watched a movie and had dinner. Then we reclined our seats flat and went to sleep. That was after the steward made my bed. I slept soundly. Definitely business class from now on! 🙂

We watched another movie and had breakfast and we were soon in Doha.
We had a bit of a wait until we had to board for the next leg to Venice. The airport in Doha was very nice.

We had to go by train to get to the other part of the airport for our departure gate. It was another whole airport.

To get on the plane we had to outside to take a bus. It was very hot and humid and the air looked very smoggy.
We were very spoilt with the first business class leg. It was a new Airbus A380 and the second leg was a 333? and not as new and smaller. We could still sleep lying down but it wasn’t as spacious. Same deal with food and drinks so we were happy flyers!!
The flight was 5 hours so long enough for a movie or two.
The view flying into Venice was very different to the view flying out of Doha. From desert to water.

Our first experience of business class was amazing!! We will be looking forward to the trip home after our Italian and Greek adventures!!
