Beautiful Bright

An early start today. I had a horse ride booked for 9am at Bogong Horse Adventures. About half an hour drive from Bright. It was weird getting back behind the wheel again. I haven’t driven for over 4 weeks.

I had great fun on the windy road. Stopped at a great look out.

Arrived at the horse riding place in good time. Very friendly people. Had a really welcoming feel about it.

Helmet on and I was introduced to Eskdale my horse for the ride.

Babs (German traveler working there) demonstrated their way of riding. All the horses are very well trained. They use the natural horsemanship method. The horses are very gentle and responsive. So I learnt a new way to ride on a beautiful horse.

Lucy, a French traveler, took me on a magnificent 3 hour ride into the Alpine National Park. It is my best ever trail ride!!! The scenery and the opportunity to really ride was fantastic. Lots of cantering which I love!!

Meanwhile, Steve was riding out to Harrietville. A 50+ km ride in total. Checked out a trout farm that had no one in the office. 😳 And had a nice coffee and muffin in the town.

He had a nice ride except for the Maggie’s!! A whole gang attacked him there and back!! Glad I wasn’t on that ride!!!!

We both arrived back at camp pretty tired. Me, not as tired as yesterday. Steve, almost as tired as me yesterday due to those Maggie’s chasing him for about a kilometre.

We relaxed and had a couple of wines, a shower and a couple more wines. The temperature is perfect – 28c and dry, Steve’s loving the low humidity.

It’s all about to change now though. Looks like a storm is coming so we are off to the brewery for dinner.
