Dubrovnik, Croatia

Saturday morning we caught a water taxi and a car to the cruise terminal. Going through the canals a final time made me want to return to Venice someday.

Ricardo our very Italian driver.

We timed the arrival at the ship perfectly. There were no crowds and just as we walked in they announced the ship was ready for boarding.

The ship is The Constellation and pretty much the same as our last Celebrity cruise.

We went straight to the back deck for some beverages and lunch. Love that buffet!

We could get into our room at 1.30. After unpacking we went for a swim and said goodbye to Venice. It was good to see the other side of Venice.

Dinner that night was delicious. We all ate way too much. I had the pork chop as a main and when it arrived everyone wanted one.

So they bought one to the table to share. It amazes me how you can order everything on the menu even if you just want a taste.

After dinner we went to the casino. The soccer was on so we watched that and then had a play. I had beginners luck on the Roulette. It was great fun.

We then went to my favourite bar- The Martini Bar. It was a fun night!!!

The next day we sailed into Dubrovnik and headed into the old town.

We rode the cable car first. What an amazing view of the Adriatic Sea and the town.

Next we went into the old town.

It had some very steep steps.

Then we went to walk the wall. More steps! But it was worth it. Once again the view of the town and Adriatic Sea was fantastic!

There were little stops on the walk. We wondered what it would be like to work there and getting supplies up would be interesting!

We stopped for an ice cream. It was so creamy. Yum!

We walked most of the way and then went to look around the town. The streets were very pretty and were lined with restaurants.

We stopped and had a drink and then caught the shuttle back to the ship.

We also tried some of the local food from a bakery. It was a sausage roll but it had frankfurt inside.

It was such an amazing town and we will need to come back because there wasn’t enough time to have the full experience.
