Rome to home

We were up early to a very quiet and beautiful Positano to catch the train to Rome.

The drive was almost 2 hours to Salerno Station and we had the same driver who had driven us into Positano. Pina was our tour guide once more. This time we went the other way out.

Pina insisted we stop to have the breakfast the hotel had made for us. It was a beautiful spot to take photos.

We made it Salerno early so had time for a coffee. Pina drove around to a coffee shop because she said the coffee in the train station was not good.

The train arrived and we were at the wrong end of the platform for our carriage. So we had to do the bolt again!

There were a few signal issues on the way to Rome so we arrived a bit late even though it was a fast train.

We were meeting Matty and Cam for lunch. Steve gave the name and directions to the driver but he had no idea where he was going. He was old school and had his map book out so Steve found it on his phone.

He still had no idea and didn’t drop us at the restaurant!! So off we went again walking along the cobbled streets with 2 very heavy bags.

But it was worth it. We had a lovely catch up and very long lunch with Matty and Cam who had one night in Rome before they were continuing their trip around Italy.

So our very awesome and amazing journey was over and we headed home. Of course we were looking forward to seeing the kids, puppies and Buddy.

In business class comfort we were hoping we’d be ready for work on Monday. 😳
