Bel and I arrived back in Sydney on Sunday afternoon to a surprise early Mothers Day dinner with the whole family. It was so nice to see them all again – including the fluffy and feathered ones!
The next day it was Damien’s Graduation. The culmination of hard work through school and 4 years of university saw him graduate with a Bachelor of Industrial Design with Honours. It was such a great feeling to see him up on stage after all these years – very proud mum and dad.
That evening we celebrated at Damien’s favourite restaurant – Kingsleys at Woolloomooloo. A fantastic dinner – everyone went all out, oysters, crab, steak, prawns – my wallet was a bit lighter and thankful there was no room for desert.
We were meant to fly back the next day, but made a snap decision to stay one more night with the family. So the next morning we went for a beatiful walk around the harbour with the dogs. We followed our normal route through Bradfield Park, and then past Luna park to the Secrat Garden. Such a beautiful part of Sydney.

As it was a spectacular autumn day we continued our Sydney tourism with a quick ferry ride for lunch at the opera bar.

After lunch it was back home to spend the evening with the family and get ready to fly back to Coolum. It was a great visit and very very hard to say goodbye once again. It will be will 10 weeks until Bel heads back to see them again and 20 weeks for me!
