An early night needed to watch the Wallabies v Argentina at 3am. Steve did something so we could watch it on the iPad. We managed to wake up thanks to the alarm and watched Wallabies beat the Argentians!! Woo hoo! What a beautiful result!! I think their new name should be Walatahs!
Can’t wait for next weekend. I don’t think we disturbed anyone….maybe the wombats! Sounded like there were a few rumbling under the trailer.
A nice sleep in and a bacon and egg roll and coffee at the kiosk was a nice start to the day. Unfortunately the weather had taken a turn for the worst. After a beautiful hot day a southerly arrived and it is freezing!! Very different from yesterday. From singlets to hoodies.
We decided to go for a walk to Whiskey Bay. We had to drive to the start of it. It was a very, very, short walk compared to yesterday !! A little hilly which warmed us up.
After the walk we started to get organised for our departure tomorrow, packed bits and pieces and Steve checked out the car.
It was so cold we set ourselves up inside. Foxtel, wine, cheese and the heater warm us up.
The weather did settle a bit in time for dinner and finally a wombat came to visit! A big, fat wombat! He just ate and ate.
Last day here at Tidal River. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back one day.
Tomorrow we head to Melbourne. A few days with Katie, Paul and Andrew in Point Cook and then onto Flemington for the racing carnival with Angie and Michael.
Nev and I really loved The Prom as well and had some great walks, aren’t the wallabies amazing. We also set the alarm in the van and watched the match – so exciting, can hardly wait till next Sunday and don’t let that kiwi you will be with barrack for the other side!
