It was our last day in Margaret River so Steve and I prepared for our next destination. We shopped for supplies and went back to McHenry Hohnen winery to grab another box of wine we liked.
Wharncliffe Mill was a fantastic park. Very kind and helpful staff. Highly recommend it! They even have Safari Tents for those who want to camp without the hassle.
The Screaming Jets were in town so we decided to finish up at Margaret River with a bang! 😊

We walked into town to The Settlers Inn, and settled in for the night. A very popular spot with the locals. We could understand why after a beautiful dinner. We thought we had a prime spot to watch The Screaming Jets but they packed up the entire restaurant for the show.
The support band came on at 9 and they were great. Can’t think of their name but they’re from Melbourne.
We then moved to the front. So glad we did! It was awesome!! We met a really nice couple who were our buddies for the night.

The guitarist with the long grey hair leant down and said something to me but I didn’t hear what he said.😂
The Screaming Jets were great!! Lots of new stuff (new album out) and old favourites. (Check out the playlist my buddy grabbed for me at the end.)
Had a few interesting moments with some locals!! One idiot decided to push to the front and stand right in front of me!! He had a man bun so I pulled it and then Steve moved him out of the way. He thought Steve pulled his man bun so tried it on. Security intervened and all was well. There’s always got to be idiots. It continued later with the girls then pushing to the front. They were dancing with their elbows into our new buddy. She knee high to a grasshopper but wasn’t going to put up with it!! Again security intervened but Steve had to get involved first to help because her opponents were bigger then her. It was all good and we enjoyed the rest of the night. I was sure I saw one of the nurses from Bunbury Hospital.
We then cabbed it home and continued to party!! As I said we finished in Margaret River with a bang!!
Such a great place! We will return one day. My week in hospital caused us to miss a lot. I won’t forget this holiday!! I left some blood, sweat and tears (and skin!)
So! Feeling a bit dusty we packed up and drove to Walpole. Tiny little town but with heaps to do. Hopefully the rain that has finally found us won’t stop us. We haven’t had to use umbrellas since Melbourne. (Heavy rain coming with possible flash flooding!)
