Last day in Bermagui.

Last day in Bermagui. Rained last night and no rain today! Yay! It was a little overcast and chilly today so we decided to go for a drive to Mimosa National Park to see the Mimosa Rocks. We got lost going there and ended up on the Wapengo Lake which had an amazing number of oyster leases – the oyster bar from yesterday had their farm there. Once we found the right road it was a bit of a 4WD road so it was fun getting there. The beach was very secluded and you could camp there too. There was a boardwalk where you could walk to the rocks and see the middens of the aboriginal people who would camp there long ago.

After that we came back to Bermagui and went for a paddle on the Bermagui River. Lots of pelicans being fed by the local fishermen. We had a great paddle. Getting better all the time.

Needed lunch after that so made our way to the Bermagui Country Club but missed lunch. Again! 2pm. No lunch after that. We didn’t realise it was already 2pm!! So a packet of nuts and pork crackling and a few drinks sufficed.

Back to camp. Relaxed in the sun. Nice.

Happy Birthday to our beautiful niece Taylor. 11 Today. 🎂💜💛💚💙
